Visitors Center

The Interpretation Center is one of the most visited places, with a significant percentage of foreign and Peruvian visitors. It offers relevant information about the reserve and contributes to enriching tourists’ visits by providing details about the flora, fauna and geology of the protected area. It is located on the Pisco highway, Puerto San Martín, annex to the Julio C. Tello Museum.

The Candelabra Geoglyph

It is a mysterious candelabra-shaped geoglyph carved into the side of a hill that can be seen from the sea. It has an extension of 120 meters and is also called Tres Cruces or Tridente. The candelabrum is engraved in rock, but is mostly covered with sand. It is believed that this geoglyph is related to the lines and hieroglyphs of Nazca and Palpa.

Cathedral

It is what remained of an impressive rock formation located on the coast, which generated a natural bridge. The earthquake that occurred in 2007 destroyed much of this iconic place, which, in any case, continues to be very attractive to photograph.

Lagunillas

It is a series of small lagoons or coastal wetlands found in the area. These lagoons are known for their scenic beauty and their importance as habitat for various species of birds and wildlife. At these lagoons, you may see flamingos, waterfowl, and a variety of migratory birds. Flamingos can often be seen feeding in the shallow waters. The natural environment of Las Lagunillas is impressive, as they are surrounded by desert landscapes and with panoramic views of the sea. The contrast between the blue of the lagoons, the desert and the ocean creates a visually attractive image.

Red Beach

This beach is accessible on foot from the small fishing port of Lagunillas. To get to Lagunillas from Paracas, you need a vehicle. It is also possible to do it with tourism agencies or rent a bicycle. This place will allow you to observe quantities of birds. In addition to the red sand, the rock formations surrounding the beach are another highlight. Large cliffs and rocks eroded by wind and water create a stunning landscape. It is also common to see seabirds and other wild animals in the area. You should keep in mind that this beach is usually quite windy, so we recommend bringing sunscreen, a hat, and a light jacket.
