Lagoa da Conceição
Located east of the island of Santa Catarina, in Florianópolis between a mountain range, coastal plains, a sandbank and the sea (Atlantic Ocean). The Lagoon has an area of around 20 m2, it is divided into two parts: Lagoa de Distancia, to the southwest, and Lagoa de Fora, to the northeast. These two parts are separated by a strait over which a bridge was built connecting the east and west banks.
On the northwest coast, where hills predominate, on the Costa da Lagoa, there are countless small beaches interspersed with small cliffs. Further south, the plain between the lagoon and the hills widens. It is where the strait is located where the bridge that separates the outer and inner lakes was built. In the latter, the sandy plain reaches its greatest proportions.
Hiking in Lagoinha do Leste
If you like hiking, the Lagoinha do Leste route is one of the most popular on the island. The hike is of medium difficulty and will take you to a beautiful secluded beach. Leaving Armacao, a small path along Matadeiros beach. Then, path from Matadeiros to Lagoinha do Leste.
